In September 2004, The Ridgefield Playhouse Board of Directors announced the establishment of The Ridgefield Playhouse’s Film Society.  The RPFS is dedicated to the presentation of award winning independent and studio feature films as well as documentaries to the community. 

There are five Film Society components including the Lost and Found Film Series, the Director’s Cut Film Festival, the Premier Film Series, the Family Film Series and the Documentary Film Series.

Joseph Consentino, an EMMY award winning television documentary producer/director, is the Artistic Director of The Ridgefield Playhouse Film Society.
